The paper focuses on a method of determining and monitoring the angular deviation of the actual position of an optical astro-sighting device instrument (IO ASD) relative to its reference target position on a gyrostabilized platform (GSP). The paper represents the analysis of the coordinate system (CoS) of a three-stage gyrostabilizer (TGS) with IO ASD and analytic expressions which allow
to implement the presented method. A mathematical simulation model has been developed that allows to process test results of TGS. The results of the mathematical simulation model in MachCad 15 software for the input parameters of real TGS devices are given. The paper considers the values of standard deviation (SD) of parameters of the angular deviation of IO ASD actual position relative to its reference target position on GSP obtained by the simulation results and the results of test
operations on real TGS devices. The paper represents the adequate assessment of the simulation model results to the results obtained in the tests.
