Reaction of 8-(2-methylprop-2-enylsulfanyl)quinoline with bromine, iodine and mercury(II) chloride gave dihydro[1,4]thiazino[2,3,4-ij]quinolinium systems. The structures of the compounds synthesized have been confirmed by X-ray structural analysis and by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York. |
