Abstract

The effect of centrifugal forces on the melting, transport, and solidification of a metal during electroslag remelting of a consumable electrode is comprehensively studied, and the parameters that can increase the technical and economic indices of remelting and the metal quality are revealed. © 2010 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
